Guitar Lessons
Playing guitar is like riding a bike, or baking a pie. It's a set of skills that anyone can learn.
I have taught guitar for 15 years, and have 22 years of experience as a professional guitarist, singer, and songwriter. I teach electric and acoustic guitar, as well as bass guitar and harmonica. My students include kids, teens, and adults. Currently, we're learning styles such as folk, classic rock, indie rock, alternative, pop, gospel, country, blues, funk, and soul.
My goals are:
- Nurture your enthusiasm for the guitar, and music in general
- Help you learn the songs you love
- Expose you to a variety of musical styles and concepts
- Teach you the skills to play well, in whatever direction you choose to go
- Support you through the difficult stretches
Students generally sign up for weekly lessons. Payment for weekly lessons is by monthly tuition, due at your first lesson of the month. Your tuition guarantees your specific lesson time. (I will gladly work with you to create a more personalized payment plan, if necessary.) Tuition for weekly 1-hour lessons is $184 per month. Tuition for weekly ½-hour lessons is $92 per month.
Some students choose to sign up for 2 lessons per month (either 1st & 3rd weeks, or 2nd & 4th weeks). Tuition is due at your first lesson of the month, and guarantees your specific lesson time. Tuition for hour-long lessons twice a month is $92 per month. Tuition for ½-hour-long lessons twice a month is $46 per month.
For infrequent lessons (a la carte), my rate is $46 per hour.
